Hotel am Schlosspark | Gotha

Classic elegance in Gotha

"Reception" is written in golden letters above the wooden wall panelling in the entrance area of the Hotel am Schlosspark in Gotha. The counter is decorated with dark-green marble inlays. On the wall behind it, a magnificent large key board for the hotel keys that looks like something from the set of the Oscar winning film "Grand Budapest Hotel". On the ceiling hangs a chandelier.

Georg and Ibolya Döbbeler have managed the "Hotel am Schlosspark" with passion and meticulous care for the past 28 years. The location couldn't be bettered. The hotel is situated directly next to the palace park in the former imperial residence town of Gotha, and very close to Friedenstein Palace. It therefore offers guests interested in culture many attractions, all only a short walk away. The historic town centre, for example, is only 500m away. The rooms and suites are furnished in a style that reflects classic elegance, and are the perfect place for finishing a day filled with new experiences and discoveries in a relaxing ambience. Of course, you can also choose to relax in the in-house spa facilities with a steam sauna, a salt grotto and many different other options for unwinding.

EXPERIENCE TIP

Friedenstein Palace is one of Thuringia's most important baroque palace complexes, in art and cultural history terms. The valuable art collection, which was started as early as the beginning of the 17th century and enjoys an international reputation, is particularly impressive.
