Dorint Am Goethepark | Weimar

Be Goethe's next-door neighbour

The building with the beige-coloured facade, the white stucco decorations and the towers either side certainly looks impressive. Welcome to the Dorint hotel "Am Goethepark" in Weimar.

Anyone staying here not only has a glorious landscaped park right outside their front door but might even see Goethe's former home, where the poet and thinker spent 50 years of his life, from their room window. The hotel itself also consists of a complex of buildings with a long history, formed by the historic Villa Dingelstedt and the former Russian embassy. Both houses have been connected in an elegant way, resulting in a stylish combination of turn of the last century, modern classic and art nouveau. The meticulously designed rooms and suites with Bauhaus and art nouveau elements also reflect this special fusion of the old and the new. A place that is also a feast for the eyes. The hotel lounge with a bar named – how could it be otherwise – "Belle Epoque" is also a treat: In the former treasury of the Grand Dukes of Saxe-Weimar, you can now enjoy a fine wine or plan a stroll through the town on the Ilm river that was once home to so many famous Germans whilst enjoying a coffee speciality.
